Maziar Bahari have been released from prison after spending 118 days in prison!


The public prosecutors office announced that Maziar Bahari the Canadian-Iranian journalist who was arrested after the presidential election in Iran is released this evening after spending 118 days in notorious Evin prison where Zahra Kazemi the Canadian-Iranian photo journalists was murdered.

The public prosecutor Mr. Abbas Jafari Dolatabadi in a press conference last week said that one of the people arrested after election will be released. Maziar Bahari was released on a bail of $300,000 .

He is charged with public disturbance by false reporting, propaganda against the Islamic Republic and for the organization that are counter revolution,participation in illegal gathering,false reporting about the election.......

Maziar was arrested on June 21 in his home in Tehran. Maziar at the time was working for Newsweek Magazin.
