Joya denounces Afghan corruption & foreign mission
Raw feed of Afghanistan's youngest parliamentarian speaking to the media in Toronto
Malalai Joy was expelled from the Afghan Parliament on May 21, 2007 following an interview in which she publicly criticized the human rights abuses of her co-parliamentarians. In a press conference in Toronto on November 7, Malalai discussed her recent expulsion and the current situation on the ground in Afghanistan.
Malalai Joy, 29, is the youngest member of the Afghan Parliament. She was elected to the Wolesi Jirga in September 2005, winning the second highest vote in Farah province.

She has been the target of numerous death threats because of her outspoken criticism of warlords and drug lords in the central government
