Yusef Azizi Banitorof , The Iranian -Arab writer & member of the Association of Iran's Writers Have been arrested by the plain cloths
news.gooya.com( Persian) : Based on the story by one of the person present in the seminar known as " human rights and free election" which was held on the morning of Monday April 25 / 2005 with the presence of many political activists in the office of the "Centre of the Defenders of Human rights", and when the organizers did not give time to " Yusef Bani- Torof " the Iranian-Arab writer & member of the "Association of Iran's Writers" to speak about the events of "Ahvaz" , He then shouted that in Khuzestan the regime have killed 60 people and more than 1200 have been arrested. Bani-Torof hours later when leaving this meeting have been arrested in his home by 7-8 plain cloths agents and with the order of the Islamic Revolution Court . His wife in a telephon coversation with Khosro Shemiranie of "Shahrvand" told that : Bani Torof before leaving the house told her;It came in the subpoena the destination is Evin prison.

Khosro Shemiranie : Mrs. Salimeh Fotuhi The wife of Yusef Azizi Banitorof in a telephon conversation told to Shahrvand that: "Today at 2:00pm the bell of the house ranged , they said they have a registered mail , but when i opened the door 7-8 people told me they are here with the order of the court" . In a question that; what was the charges of Mr. Banitorof? Mrs. Fotuhi replied : "They did not let me to read the order , they did not as well say anything verbally."
She also added that: " Well , before they have threatened him several times about the unrest in the city of Ahvaz , while my husband haven't been in Ahvaz for awhile.They told me if you diden't hear from us in 3-4 days then you can attend public prosecutors office in Moalem Street.
It is needed to say that , Mr. Banitorof is a member of the Association of Iran's Writers and is a prominent intellectual from the Iranian- Arab minorities , and up to now he has translated many works from Arabic to Persian,. He has extensive articles in Arabic language and during the time of unrest in the city of Ahvaz he was informing people about the situation of Iranian Arabs.
